Trump Pleads Not Guilty to Election Crimes.

Trump pleads guilty

The former president appeared in a court in Washington after being charged in relation to his attempts to overturn the outcome of the 2020 election. The first pretrial hearing has been scheduled for August 28th.

Former President Donald J. Trump made his appearance, in a court, in Washington on Thursday. He faced charges of conspiring to stay in office despite losing the 2020 election. During the hearing held near the Capitol, where his supporters had previously caused chaos to disrupt the transition of power he pleaded not guilty.

Donald Trump was taken into custody. Had his fingerprints recorded before entering the courthouse. He then pleaded "not guilty" to all four charges brought against him by special counsel Jack Smith on Tuesday.src="https://nationtonr.com/uploads/system/ab2.jpg" />

He was to let go without the need to pay bail or adhere to any limitations, on his travel. The initial pretrial hearing has been scheduled for August 28th.

Upon arriving in Washington Mr. Trump found himself in a situation where he is currently facing indictment in three different cases while simultaneously running for president once again. Apart from the election-related matter, he is also confronted with charges concerning the mishandling of documents and accusations from New York regarding hush money payments made to a porn star.

However, despite his presence, in and out of the Federal District Court within ninety minutes he continues to maintain a substantial lead, over his competitors for the 2024 Republican nomination and remains unwavering.

"This is a very sad day for America," Mr. Trump remarked at Washington Airport before boarding his plane returning to his golf resort in New Jersey. "This is political persecution." This was not meant to happen in America."

Walt Nauta, his personal aide who was charged with him in the classified documents case, was holding his umbrella as he emerged from his SUV on the tarmac.

Thursday’s hearing was held inside a courthouse that has been the venue for hundreds of trials stemming from the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol. His lawyers used the procedural hearing to hint at one of his central defense strategies — a request to delay a second pending federal trial for months if not years.
